Campaigning for a greener London

Don’t use Plastic Bags

They’re flimsy and wasteful
They tear and they break
You use it for a minute
But you’ve made a big mistake

Don’t use plastic bags!

They harm the environment
They help melt the Poles
They’re a contributing factor
To the ozone’s big holes.

Don’t use plastic bags!

They fill up the sea,
Clog up fishes’ throats,
Wash up on the beaches,
Tangle around boats.

Don’t use plastic bags!

They outlive us all
By hundreds of years
Killing our wild life and
Suffocating Royal deer*

Don’t use plastic bags!

By Ethan Horsfall (Age 9)

*Richmond Park deer and the whale stranded in the Thames have all been found to have plastic bags in their stomachs.
